Winter & Insulated Work Boots

1 products

Cold-weather work changes the specification. Insulation, weather sealing and outsole compound behaviour at low temperature matter more than weight, and a boot that is comfortable in October can be genuinely unsafe in January.

Insulation

Insulated models use thermal lining layers to retain heat without adding bulk that would force a size change. Insulation weight should be matched to activity level: heavier insulation suits static work such as gate duty or operating plant, while lighter insulation suits active work where the wearer generates their own heat.

Cold-Weather Outsoles

Standard rubber compounds stiffen as temperature drops, which reduces grip. Winter models use cold-rated compounds and lug patterns designed to shed snow and slush rather than pack with it, maintaining traction on ice, compacted snow and wet steel.

Waterproofing

Snow is water. HydroGuard waterproof, breathable membranes, sealed seams and treated leather keep meltwater out while allowing perspiration to escape — the combination that prevents the cold, damp feet behind most cold-weather discomfort.

Fit Note

Insulated boots should be sized to accommodate a single pair of thermal socks without compressing the insulation. Compressed insulation does not work. Check the size chart before ordering bulk runs.
